Twinning Edge started from a simple question: Why do founders and small business leaders seem to "hate" marketing.
So many small businesses and start-ups have been burned by activities that take a lot of time and dollars without showing much return.
What companies really need is not "marketing" but "business development enablement."

Because our backgrounds are grounded in the sciences, we came at the challenge of business development a little differently.
The problems we saw were:
- Typical agencies don't have the scientific knowledge to ramp up quickly when supporting technical start-ups.
- Founders are focused on Business Development, so they often give up on the activities needed to build credibility because they takes too long.
- They end up doing "marketing" themselves or, more often, not at all because no one else has the knowledge or expertise
